JOB PURPOSE

Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies. And assess the performance of company’s investments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Analyses financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to assess a company's financial health.

  2. Performs market and industry research to identify potential investment opportunities.

  3. Monitors current and evaluate potential investments in various asset classes (equities, fixed income, real estate, etc.)

  4. Conducts detailed financial due diligence on investment targets, including risk assessments and financial analysis.

  5. Liaises with external partners, such as investment banks, asset managers, and consultants, to facilitate transactions and gather insights.

  6. Works closely with internal teams, including finance and business development, to align investment strategies with broader company objectives.

  7. Records all transactions to ensure that dealing costs are correctly calculated.

  8. Advises the suitability of investments to ensure the best returns consistent with the investment policy.

  9. Researches general developments in markets to try to forecast trends.

  10. Develops and maintains contacts with brokers and analysts to gain market information.

  11. Maintains an awareness of economic, financial and political developments which might affect market trend.

 

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATION

Bachelors in Finance or Equivalent

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years’ experience in market analysis.
